Author's note

Fire Dusk - Grunge by MattTheSamurai is a free eroded display font built from ragged, splintered strokes. Its uppercase forms have rough outer edges and broken interiors, with stray flecks that resemble scorched paper or dry ink. The irregular damage changes across the letters, keeping the texture handmade rather than mechanically distressed.

As a distressed title treatment, it suits horror film graphics and metal album covers because the lettering already carries a scratched, hostile surface. Halloween posters and dark game interfaces are equally convincing. The torn contours can become part of smoke, ash, or decay imagery, tying the font directly to horror and post-apocalyptic themes.
