Author's note

Five Minutes by Oleg Zhuravlev is a free distorted display font with tall, wiry letters and an unsettled hand-drawn edge. Its narrow shapes lean, pinch, and swell unpredictably, with wavering strokes, uneven joins, and mismatched proportions that make a line look hurried and faintly uneasy rather than carefully finished.

Independent music and underground arts audiences will recognize its scrappy immediacy. That raw construction suits gig posters, album packaging, horror-comedy graphics, and offbeat event merchandise, where the lettering can become part of the imagery as well as the identifying mark of a small label, venue, or product line with a deliberately homemade point of view.
