Author's note

Folks by Gary David Bouton of Chariyware is a free folk-art display font with tall, eccentric letters and a hand-cut silhouette. Strong thick-thin changes, flared tips, and repeated bands of triangular ornament give the lettering the look of carved signs or decorated textiles.

A craft brewery, heritage shop, or folk music festival could use it for branding that draws directly on handmade ornament and old-world imagery. The same patterned strokes suit poster titles and magazine feature openers about traditional crafts, regional culture, or storytelling, where the lettering can function as part of the editorial illustration.
