Author's note

Fondel, designed by Wolf Lambert in 2012, is a free condensed sans serif with unusually tall, lean proportions and subtly changing stroke widths that give straight sides a firm architectural look. Its rounded joins soften the otherwise strict geometry.

As an oversized typographic banner, it gives fashion posters and magazine covers a sharp urban edge, and its economical width suits music packaging, especially on narrow album sleeves with long artist names. In a vertical sign or event graphic, the stretched forms can become a structural stripe rather than ordinary labeling.
