Author's note

Forgotten Playbill by Lauren Ashpole is a free decorative outlined display font filled with dense, hand-drawn ornament. Tall, uneven capitals combine heavy outer contours with flowers, stars, stripes, geometric borders, and framed shapes that make each letter resemble a miniature illustrated panel.

Circus and handmade theater graphics are its natural territory. It suits play posters, festival merchandise, children's book covers, and whimsical packaging, where the patterned interiors can become part of the illustration. Younger audiences and craft-minded brands will respond to its busy coloring-book detail and cheerful irregularity.
