ForgottenArtTwo by M. Klein is a free illustrated initial font whose blocky letters are filled with faces, animals, human figures, and architectural fragments in a rough woodcut manner. Each character reads like a small piece of folk art.
The carved, storybook imagery makes the lettering part of the illustration on folklore book covers, historical event posters, and fantasy game graphics. It is most convincing in publishing, where one decorated initial can introduce a tale with the directness of an old printed ornament.
