Author's note

Forgotten Uncial font is a free gothic Celtic typeface with the feel of hand-inked letters pulled from an old monastery manuscript. The tall, leaning forms and sweeping curves give words a windswept motion, while the chiseled stroke endings add a slightly rough, storybook edge. It has just enough irregularity to feel human, but stays clean and readable when set large.

Using Forgotten Uncial, titles instantly suggest fantasy maps, folk tales, or ancient rituals without looking cheesy. This free font works beautifully for book covers, tabletop RPG materials, band logos, festival posters, beer or whiskey labels, and themed signage. Pair it with a simple sans serif for body text, and let ForgottenUncial handle the big, dramatic moments at larger sizes.
