Author's note

FoxxyBlack by Jeremy Woods is a free distorted display font with an enormous black silhouette and tightly packed forms. Its rounded outer shapes swell toward one another, broken by tiny slits and pinched openings. The lettering feels compressed and unruly, with abrupt notches that keep the mass from looking uniform.

A concert poster is its strongest setting, since the dense lettering can echo the force of punk, metal, or experimental music. Album covers are another natural fit. On streetwear, skate merchandise, and festival graphics, the words can become a near-solid emblem or a striking piece of the artwork.
