Author's note

Frail&Bedazzled, designed by Lauren Thompson of Nymphont, is a free eroded display font built from broad, blocky letterforms. Dense shapes are broken by scratches, chips, and large worn-away patches. The damage looks forceful rather than delicate.

Merchandise gives this lettering a fitting surface, especially for distressed T-shirts and skate graphics. Its battered structure also suits music posters and game title screens with an industrial or post-apocalyptic setting. Against rough photography or torn-paper collage, the letters can become part of the texture instead of sitting apart as clean typography.
