Author's note

Fraktur-Schmuck by Dieter Steffmann of Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free engraved ornament dingbat font inspired by old printer's flourishes. Its intricate forms are densely detailed and symmetrical.

It can create an illustrated emblem for historical publishing, spirits packaging, or event invitations, using framed scenes and radiating scrollwork as part of the decoration. On posters and merchandise, the ornaments can function as seals or chapter marks rather than ordinary lettering, linking typography with period-style illustration.
