Fred Wild West by Squack of sq is a free outlined Western display font with oversized slab serifs and a lively frontier-show silhouette. Multiple inset contours give the letters a carved, sign-painted look. The edges buckle and curl with irregularity.
Its Old West styling suits saloon posters and themed event graphics. Packaging for barbecue sauces or drinks can use the drawing as part of a period label. In publishing, it is especially apt for Western novel covers and frontier features.
