Author's note

Frida 01, designed by Benoît Sjöholm, is a free monoline serif with a crisp mechanical air. Broad squared feet and softly rounded arches shape its typewriter-like silhouette. Small circular dots and gently pinched joins add a precise, slightly eccentric detail.

An editorial cover is its most convincing setting because the fine strokes look quiet and literary, yet the sturdy serifs hold their shape across a title. That same blend suits cafe branding, coffee packaging, and arts posters, where the round dots and looping curves can echo cups, labels, or simple line illustrations.
