Author's note
FRIET by rc of CROL is a free handmade display font built from rough, overlapping strokes. The letters resemble slats or strips fixed together at sharp angles, with uneven ends and small gaps left between some joins. Its tall, awkward forms have the directness of improvised signage.
Posters and album covers can use this construction to echo collage, punk graphics, or hand-built stage sets. Crossed pieces suit festival graphics, where lettering can become part of an illustrated framework. Merchandise and game packaging also suit its makeshift shapes.
