Author's note

Fusty Saddle is a free medieval display font whose tall, pinched letters combine forked serifs, jagged hand-cut edges, striped engraving inside the broader strokes, and sharp notches at the joints. The letters look carved, battered, and slightly unruly.

A fantasy tavern, craft brewery, or themed attraction could build an appropriately strange identity around these dark, eccentric forms, using them across signage, packaging, and merchandise. For publishing, it is most convincing on folklore collections and historical-fiction covers, where the scratched inner shading and crooked contours can echo old woodcuts, worn theater bills, or weathered title blocks rather than ordinary printed type.
