Author's note

Galatia SIL by SIL International is a free classical book serif with stately proportions and pronounced thick-thin contrast. Its broad curves, fine hairlines, and crisp bracketed serifs create an orderly texture and a distinctly literary tone on the page.

Publishers and museums can use it for books, journals, and exhibitions. In museum branding and historical programming, the sculpted serifs echo engraved lettering, connecting the type to archival images and traditional ornament.
