Gargoyles Italic Font

Gargoyles Italic by Neale Davidson is a free modern Gothic display font with a fierce angular profile. Its tall, compressed letters use blade-like points, deep notches, and sudden changes in stroke width. The forward lean makes the whole design feel fast and unsettled.

Dark fantasy and Gothic horror suit its jagged silhouette, which can turn game title art or film posters into part of the scene. The same carved aggression has a place on metal merchandise and supernatural book covers, especially when the lettering needs to echo claws, shards, or ruined stone. Its sharp medieval references point most clearly toward dark entertainment rather than historical reproduction.

This typeface is based on the logo of Disney’s “Gargoyles” television show. It includes a full alphabet, extended punctuation, the euro symbol, and an italic version.

This revised version removes the border and fixes most errors and alignment issues.
