Gato by Javier Fernandez, vectorized by Juan Casco, is a free handwritten display font with tall, uneven letters and a wiry silhouette. Stroke widths shift abruptly, and the angular joins, blunt ends, and loosely drawn curves make the lettering look improvised with a broad black marker.
Posters are its most convincing medium, especially for independent music, comedy events, and offbeat cultural programming where the rough drawing can become part of the event artwork. On merchandise and casual food packaging, those unruly shapes turn the lettering into a convincing handmade product identity.
