Author's note

Gausshauss Bold by Nils Merkel is a free bold sans serif with tall, compact lettering and a firmly architectural silhouette. Its straight verticals and broad capitals are offset by rounded lowercase forms and sharply clipped joins.

As a sturdy typographic sign, it suits cultural posters, museum graphics, and contemporary editorial covers, where its dense shapes can echo structural photography. In branding or wayfinding, the lettering can become part of a facade-inspired emblem or directional system rather than neutral text.
