Gears by Jade Gordon of FontStruct is a free industrial dingbat font composed of solid mechanical silhouettes. Rounded housings and blunt tool-like parts give the symbols a compact, machine-made look. Toothed shafts and stepped edges add crisp detail throughout the sturdy, simplified forms.
Mechanics and makers are its clearest audience. In workshop signage, the recurring gear teeth can become small machine emblems, a link that also suits equipment packaging and technical posters.
