Author's note

Gentium Book Basic Bold, designed by J. Victor Gaultney and Annie Olsen of SIL International, is a free humanist serif with sturdy book proportions and a warm, traditional voice. Its broad curves, firm bracketed serifs, and noticeable thick-to-thin stroke changes give the letters a dark but drawn texture. The forms remain open and straightforward.
