Author's note

Germanic Runes 2 by Daniel Steven Smith is a free runic dingbat font with a stark, carved Nordic mood. Its letters are built from hard diagonals and upright strokes, with blunt cuts and angular joins that feel closer to inscribed wood or stone than to ordinary display lettering.

This free font fits album art, game logos, fantasy book covers, tattoo flash, poster titles, and ritual-themed branding where you want symbols to read as marks as much as letters. It works best in short lines, title cards, and monograms, because the repeated rune shapes create a dense, emblematic rhythm rather than a conversational texture.
