Author's note

Ghastly Panic font by Chad Savage is a free scary display typeface that looks like it was scratched into a wall with something sharp and unfriendly. Thin, splintered strokes shoot upward like thorns, while the distorted, ragged curves feel as if the ink bled and dried in a hurry, leaving a grimy, hand-drawn edge that’s impossible to ignore. It brings instant horror-movie tension to any layout without needing special effects or extra artwork.

Using Ghastly Panic, you can brand haunted houses, horror podcasts, Halloween events, escape rooms, metal bands, slasher film titles, and creepy book covers with a single, snarling wordmark. This free font shines in oversized headlines; pair it with a plain, neutral sans serif for body text so the chaos stays where it belongs-front and center, screaming from the page.
