Author's note

Ghoulish by Gary Pullin is a free horror display font with hulking capitals and ragged, gouged edges. The letters crowd forward in uneven blocks, with blunt slab-like strokes and sharp notches that suggest torn paper or battered wood.

Its horror-poster roots point first to haunted attraction posters. The distressed shapes also suit monster-movie promotions, turn Halloween packaging into part of the artwork, and lend heavy-metal merchandise a hand-cut menace. Across those settings, the same chipped silhouette connects theatrical scares, lurid pulp imagery, and rough music graphics through its handmade attack.
