GL Scratchy is a free distressed display font with bulky, torn-looking letterforms. Its uneven strokes break into sharp cuts, blots, and ragged edges. They look roughly cut by hand.
Horror and underground music are the clearest settings for this rough lettering. It can turn concert posters and game graphics into part of the scene, echoing ripped paper, claws, or ink smears. Skate merchandise and Halloween event material also suit its battered, unruly outlines.
