Glimmer, designed by John of Bionic Type, is a free experimental brush display font built from dense, uneven strokes. Its letters swell into irregular silhouettes, with pinched joins, blunt edges, and gaps that make the forms look cut from wet ink rather than drawn with a pen.
It can turn a poster title into an unruly painted emblem. The same distorted shapes suit alternative music merchandise, arts event graphics, and offbeat packaging, but posters are its clearest home because the lettering behaves almost like a row of abstract images.
