GOST 2.304-81 type A by ASCON is a free technical sans serif with very narrow proportions and nearly monoline strokes. Its tall letters use broad rounded turns, softly rounded ends, and the spare geometry of carefully hand-drawn engineering notation.
Used as a drafting-style label, it can give schematics and specialist technical manuals a convincing, measured look, and it also suits industrial product branding. The repeated single-line construction makes the alphabet feel closely related to diagram marks and plotted paths, a useful motif for engineering displays and science museum signage.
