Gotenburg B Bold by Dieter Steffmann of Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free medieval blackletter font with a blunt, forceful silhouette. Broad strokes meet sharp notches and clipped diamond-like turns. Its irregular edges keep the letters lively.
For brewery packaging, it suggests an old-world label, yet severe forms also suit metal music posters and fantasy game graphics. The angular construction gives logos a carved, emblematic quality. Heraldic creatures, shields, and woodcut illustration can echo the pointed cuts in the lettering.
