Author's note

Gram Italic, designed by Scott Simpson, is a free light italic sans serif with exceptionally tall, narrow proportions and fine strokes. Broad curves keep the austere drawing graceful.

Minimalist fashion graphics are its most convincing territory, particularly magazine covers and fragrance packaging. The same slender sweep suits gallery posters and branding for contemporary salons or boutiques. Against cropped photography or simple line illustration, the letters can echo long silhouettes and fine drawn contours.

Because of its thin strokes, Gram is not suitable for text or other small sizes.
