Author's note

Grand Quatre by David Slaager of FontStruct is a free outlined techno display font with a tall mechanical silhouette. Its squared arches and narrow internal lines recall circuit paths and architectural drafting. Abrupt diagonal cuts sharpen several otherwise rectangular forms.

A science-fiction game interface is its most convincing setting, because the letters can read like illuminated controls or machine labels. The same engineered look suits electronic music posters and technology event graphics. Across those uses, the repeated channels and right-angle turns connect the lettering to diagrams and circuitry.
