Great Lakes, designed by Nick Curtis, is a free retro display sans serif built from tall, tightly packed capitals. Its massive strokes, squared corners, and sharply cut diagonals recall industrial lettering and early twentieth-century poster type, with small interior spaces adding to the dense silhouette.
Breweries and garages could adopt it for sturdy, old-fashioned branding. It also suits concert posters and sports merchandise, where the compressed block forms can become part of a badge or emblem rather than ordinary lettering.
