Author's note

Grebe Semi-expanded by Fabian Pfeifhofer of loosy is a free high-contrast display serif with broad, rounded forms and an unmistakably soft silhouette. Fine hairlines meet swollen curves throughout the lettering, and the compact joins and gently irregular details lend it the warmth of 1970s editorial type.

As a design element, it can turn a fashion wordmark or magazine cover line into something lush and slightly unconventional, with enough visual richness to suit beauty packaging and music posters as well. Its blend of elegance and eccentricity is especially apt for designers addressing fashion-conscious, arts-minded audiences who favor refined typography that never feels reserved.
