Author's note

Guadalupe Dos font by Harold Lohner is a free distorted display typeface that feels carved straight out of stone. Its chunky strokes, uneven edges, and slightly leaning forms echo architectural lettering from the Basilica of Guadalupe, giving every word a weathered, hand-hewn presence. Letters look as if they’ve been brushed on thick and left to dry in the sun, creating a bold, tactile rhythm that instantly grabs attention.

Using Guadalupe Dos, headlines feel ritualistic and raw-great for posters, gig flyers, cultural festival branding, book covers, zines, and expressive packaging. This free font works best large, where its jagged contours and irregular spacing can breathe and show their character. Pair it with a clean, understated sans serif for body text to let GuadalupeDos handle the punchy titles and short phrases that need to stand out.
