Author's note

Guilin by Otto Maurer is a free brush script with a raw, cut-paper silhouette. Its letters shift between broad swipes and needle-sharp points, with dry edges and abrupt changes in weight. The uneven forms feel fast and unruly.

Independent music labels and streetwear brands could use it for logos, merchandise, and poster campaigns rooted in punk or underground culture. On album covers or event graphics, the lettering can become part of a scratched, ink-heavy illustration rather than serving as neutral type.
