Author's note

Gulag Decay by David Kerkhoff is a free Russian-inspired display font with broad, forceful capitals, blunt curves, and rough stencil-like breaks across the strokes. Angular cuts give the weighty lettering a severe industrial edge.

It is strongest on large music posters and festival branding, where its battered mass and stark construction suit dark punk, metal, and industrial acts. The same hard-worn look also fits game title screens, apparel graphics, and packaging for products built around Soviet-inspired or dystopian imagery.
