Halfway (Straight) Bold by Diego Quintana is a free distorted display font with radically simplified, geometric letterforms. Broad arcs meet long diagonal cuts, and many shapes stay deliberately open, reduced to a few decisive strokes with sharp changes of direction.
As a futuristic title treatment, the lettering gives technology branding and event posters the controlled mystery of an encoded interface or unfamiliar writing system. Its unusual silhouettes also suit electronic album covers and experimental game menus. The spare, interrupted forms point most clearly toward contemporary science fiction and digital-culture projects.
