Author's note

Hanalei by Brian J. Bonislawsky of Astigmatic is a free cartoon display font with tall, loose letters and a lively carved-wood look. Uneven contours, pinched joints, and branching interior cuts make each form resemble a bent strip of bamboo.

It can give tropical drink packaging a handmade island theme, yet its exaggerated shapes also suit children's adventure games. Posters and event merchandise gain the same playful, hand-cut quality. The lettering targets audiences drawn to tropical kitsch and comic illustration.
