Author's note

Hard F[o]nt, created by Ewan McNulty of Software Refinery, is a free techno display font built from modular forms. Broad strokes, squared interiors, and clipped corners give the letters the look of machine-cut panels. The construction feels rigid, deliberate, and stripped of ornament.

Its angular cuts echo circuit diagrams and low-resolution game graphics, making it a strong match for game interfaces and science-fiction posters. Electronic music artwork is another convincing home. Tech branding and event merchandise use the same hard-edged geometry to connect digital subjects with an industrial, fabricated look.
