Author's note

Heavy Rotation font by Rob Dobi is a free distorted 3D display typeface that looks like it’s been dragged through a noisy photocopier and slapped onto a club wall. Chunky letterforms, chiseled 3D edges, and splintered ink textures give it a loud, grimy presence that feels straight out of a DIY show flyer or photocopied zine. The off-kilter outlines and gaps keep every word buzzing, like it’s vibrating off the page.

Using Heavy Rotation, headlines don’t just shout-they scrape and grind their way into view. This free font shines on gig posters, album covers, skate or streetwear graphics, zines, horror titles, and rebellious branding that needs a rough, analog edge. For balance, pair it with a clean condensed sans in smaller text and let Heavy Rotation stay big, bold, and noisy in the spotlight.
