Author's note

Hellraiser Bloody font by Thomas W. Otto is a free scary display typeface that looks like its letters were painted in thick, dripping ink. Heavy, irregular shapes sag into glossy “pools” and hanging droplets, giving every word a wet, freshly-splattered feel. The spacing stays tight enough to read at a glance, while the blobby silhouettes keep things unsettling and theatrical.

This free font shines on horror movie posters, Halloween party flyers, haunted house signage, creepy game titles, and dark book or album covers. Use Hellraiser Bloody large and bold so the drips and splashes really register, then pair it with a clean sans serif for body text to keep everything legible. The result is a gritty, cinematic look that instantly sets a blood-chilled mood.
