Author's note

Helveticrap by Michael Tension of Tension Type is a free eroded display font with blunt, uneven letterforms and a heavily battered surface. Its silhouette stays broad and forceful.

Poster lettering is its strongest role, since the ragged gaps and rough edges resemble ink transferred from a worn screen. That same damaged print quality suits punk record sleeves, skate merchandise, and underground event graphics. In those settings, the type becomes part of the scuffed image rather than serving as neutral copy.
