Author's note

Herzog von Graf ExtraTall by Nick Curtis is a free medieval blackletter font with an unusually animated silhouette. Sharp, broken strokes meet broad curves, and the changing proportions make the letters look hand-cut rather than formal. Long hooks and sweeping tails lend the design a mischievous edge.

Those hooked shapes echo heraldic beasts and fantasy illustration, fitting game packaging, music merchandise, and event posters. In publishing, they can turn a fantasy cover line into part of the artwork.
