Holzschnitt-Initialen by Paul J Lloyd of PJLF is a free woodcut blackletter initials font with the force of early printed ornament. Each letter sits inside a densely hatched frame, combining broad dark strokes, sharp Gothic turns, and narrow carved highlights.
A publisher, tavern, or heritage brand could use these panels for book covers, labels, and event posters with medieval themes. The framed letters are most convincing as opening initials, where type and illustration become a single engraved emblem.
