Author's note

Hongkad 14, designed by Dr. Architect Hongkad Souvannavong, is a free Southeast Asian script-style display font with a forceful, highly stylized silhouette. The lettering combines broad sweeps with abrupt wedges, deep cuts, and compact rounded forms tucked beneath larger characters, and strong shifts in scale make each line look almost emblematic.

Folklore and regional culture suggest natural themes for posters and events. On packaging, publishing covers, and venue signage, the layered strokes can echo architectural shapes and decorative borders, with the smaller enclosed marks providing a recurring motif for patterns and illustrated emblems.
