Household Words is a free eroded display font with the blunt authority of old inked wood type. Its letters look heavily printed and slightly battered, with ragged edges, chipped curves, and thick slab-like forms that give the alphabet a newspaper-era, hand-pressed mood rather than a slick digital finish.

That gritty texture suits poster headlines, book covers, pub signs, editorial title cards, and packaging where a free font can carry some historical weight without feeling precious.
