Author's note

Hultog Snowdrift font by S. John Ross is a free distorted display typeface that looks like it’s been carved from crooked wooden signs and dusted with thick, melting snow. The letters wobble and bulge with hand-drawn ink lines, giving every word a cozy, storybook chill. Soft “snowcap” tops and chunky feet make the text feel tactile, as if you could brush off the frost with your thumb.

This free font shines on winter event posters, holiday cards, kids’ book covers, fantasy game titles, party invitations, craft packaging, and playful YouTube thumbnails. Using Hultog Snowdrift instantly sets a whimsical, frosty mood, even at a glance. For readability, keep it large and bold, then pair it with a clean sans serif for any smaller supporting text.
