HVD Comic Serif Bold by Hannes von Döhren is a free cartoon slab serif with oversized, blocky letters and a cheerfully uneven build. Its broad shapes combine blunt serifs with softly irregular edges, and the changing widths keep the lettering from feeling mechanical. The forms have the heft of cut-paper signs.
Packaging is an especially good setting for this face, since its squat shapes can turn snack boxes, event posters, and game graphics into part of the illustration.
