Author's note

Ibiscus by Ewen Prigent is a free retro-modern display font with caps that feel soft, swollen, and slightly theatrical. The letters lean on big rounded curves, deep cut-in shapes, and a high-contrast silhouette that gives the font a 1970s poster flavor without slipping into novelty.

It works naturally for record sleeves, fashion branding, festival posters, cafe signage, and magazine cover lines, where those broad curves can carry a short word on their own. As a free font, Ibiscus also makes strong title cards, monograms, and drop caps, especially when you want something bold and decorative that still feels clean rather than ornate.
