Author's note

Iconoclast is a free geometric blackletter font built from broad, sharply clipped strokes and squared inner spaces. Its severe angles recall lettering cut into metal.

Merchandise is an especially good setting for these compact industrial forms, which suit band shirts, game graphics, and hard-edged event posters. In logos and packaging, the repeated notches can turn a name into an emblem resembling armor plates or a machine-made insignia rather than ordinary type.
