Author's note

ID4 Alien Script font by Jim Sorenson is a free alien dingbat typeface that looks like it was inked straight from a mothership hull. Each glyph is a chunky, fluid symbol with irregular loops and pads, like calligraphy drawn in zero gravity. The strokes feel hand‑marked yet otherworldly, giving you an instant, authentic sci‑fi language without needing to invent one from scratch.

Using ID4 Alien Script, you can dress up movie props, sci‑fi posters, fan zines, escape‑room puzzles, tabletop game materials, stickers, or YouTube channel art with convincing extraterrestrial writing. This free font works best blown up large, where the thick forms can really breathe; pair it with a clean geometric sans in small text to keep your layouts readable while the alien symbols do the storytelling.
