Author's note

Inconsolata by Raph Levien is a free monospaced typeface with clean, humanist shapes. Its upright letters use even strokes, open curves, and generous proportions rather than the cramped forms common in coding fonts. The broad bars on capitals add a light typewriter reference.

Developers and technically minded publishers can use it for code editors, manuals, and data-led editorial pages. It also suits restrained packaging for tools or electronics. In interface graphics, the fixed-width letters can become part of terminal displays and measured grid patterns, not merely labels.
